Dancer in the Sunlight

Delightful is she
Beautiful to see
Dancing in sunlight
Reaching high
Grasping sky
Face aglow
Like morning light
So bright
As she dances
One day
A shadow falls
O’er her dancing form
Dark and drear
Heavy
As night
Bliss taken away
She dances with
With tears
In her eyes
She glances
Behind her
Where is it
The shadow
The robber
The spook
Menacing specter
Dog without teeth
Man without face
Lingering memory
A blight
Could the dancer
Chase the darkness away
Yes she may and
She might
Phantom took flight
Darkness hates light
Jesus said
I am the way
The truth
And the
Light
