Trees

Tall Green Tree

Trees
What do they say
They praise their Creator
They speak of His strength
His steadfast persistence
His might
His purpose
His faithfulness
What do trees do
They stay
They wait
Their roots run
Deep and strong
They resist the wind
They bend
But rarely break
Trees absorb
Rays of sun
And drops of rain
They support the snow
With their branches
Trees house animals
And birds
They give shade
To people

The Son of God
Was crucified
On a tree

Jesus used a tree
To set me free
And you
If you believe
The gospel
He died for you
And for me
He lives and loves
In you and me

  1. The sky likes the trees. They give ’em a scratch when he’s itchy.

  2. Uncle Tree says:

Ah, the wood! The Tree from which the cross was made
helped to make Life eternally possible for all who believe.

Oh, yes, the wood! The wood that withstood
the weight of the world as it came bearing down
on the soul of Christ, Nature’s finest Son of God!
